Representatives of the estate of Micah Schwaberow
Born in Eugene, Oregon in 1948, Micah Schwaberow is noted for his finely rendered woodcut landscapes, still lifes and figure studies. Having studied painting with Maury Lapp and printmaking with Elizabeth Quandt, he decided to further his studies in woodblock printing techniques, and attended a two-week course on the subject in Japan. Schwaberow then moved with his family to Japan, and began a year of training (showing 500 of 1497 characters). |
