He attended Cleveland Institute of Art class of 1928, winner of many awards and a scholarship to the Slade Art School in London which he attended 1924-1929.  He exhibited at many of the Cleveland Museum of Art's May shows, most notably in 1946 when he received the first prize for three biblical subjects, Jacob's Dream, Good Samaritan, and Deposition. Three of his paintings Jacob's Dream, Design for Music & Mother & Child are in the permanent collection of the Cleveland Museum of Art.  He was a WPA artist '33 -'34, who completed several murals and public works of art, most notably for The Terminal Tower, The Cleveland Public Auditorium, and the 23 ft. by 11 ft mural on canvas for the Rocky River Masonic Lodge.

He was friends with Carl Gaertner & Roy Lichtenstein.  Michael's wife Isabel Wilson left him to marry Roy Lichtenstein.  He was on the faculty of the Cleveland Institute of Art.

The following biographical information was submitted October 2006 by Simona Lepeti:

"On ebay there is a charcoal by Sarisky with a long biographical note.  On the back of the painting there is an old label that reads" Original charcoal drawing by Michael  A(loysious). Sarisky, C.I.A. class 1928, winner of many awards and a scholarship to the Slade Art School in London.  He did the ceramic panels in the terminal tower Lobby, Cleveland Ohio.  Under the direction of W.P.A, he executed a number of canvases.  One of these is installed in the main auditorium of the Cleveland Public Hall.  He was art director at Mc Cann/Erikson Advertsing agency (deceased). Michael P. Syntax attended his burial services.  He was  a good friend and a fellow student."
