| Born in Davis Creek, Modoc County, CA on March 14, 1889. Mildred's mother was a botanist who often took her on botanical field trips. After graduating from California Normal School in Santa Barbara in 1912, she taught art at Palo Alto High School for two years. Following her marriage to Frank Scofield in 1916, she settled in San Francisco where she joined her husband in business. Upon retiring from the business in the early 1940s, she studied painting for several years with William Hubacek w (showing 500 of 1110 characters). |
