| | Born in San Francisco, CA on July 22, 1875. Nettie, as she was called, studied with William Keith in her native city. In 1900 she married Benjamin Sturdivant and moved across the bay to San Anselmo where she remained until her death on June 7, 1919. She was the sister-in-law of artist Belle Sturdivant.
