| Ninon MacKnight was born in Sydney, Australia on April 5, 1908. MacKnight studied in Sydney with N. Tindall and continued at the ASL in NYC under Guy Pene du Bois. By the late 1930s she had married Wilbur Smith and had settled in Los Angeles. For many years she was busy as an illustrator of children’s books. She died in Seattle, WA on Oct. 4, 2000.
