|  Paul Marciel Souza was born in Hawaii on January 16, 1918. Souza studied at Honolulu Academy of Art, Art Center School in Los Angeles, with Ben Norris and Stanley Reckless. A world traveler, he painted in Morocco and Spain as well as California and Hawaii. After 1946 he taught for many years at the Art Center School. He died in Corona Del Mar, CA on October 10, 2007.
