| | Born in San Francisco, CA on June 29, 1867. Pauline was the daughter of Constant Schoenmakers, a prominent builder. She studied art at the Mark Hopkins Art Institute under Amédée Joullin and Arthur Mathews. Following her marriage to Christian Westphal in 1899, she stopped painting to raise a family. Her oeuvre includes 100 watercolors and oils of still lifes, landscapes, and portraits. Member: SFAA. Exh: Mechanics' Inst. (SF), 1891; Calif. Midwinter Int'l Expo, 1894 (bronze medal); Mark Hopkins.
