Pauline Sims was born in 1965, in Montreal, Canada and lives in Austin, Texas.
She attended grade school in Wellesley, Massachusetts, when it became clear that she had artistic talent.
She studied art at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas under Bob Tiemann. At that time she focussed on Pop and Abstract Art.
After graduating early in 1986, she moved to Austin, where she was employed as a graphic artist and illustrator.
