| | Born in Paris, France on March 23, 1882. Signa studied art at Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Nice. He immigrated to San Francisco in 1913, and worked on decorations for the PPIE. After years of painting billboards for Standard Oil, he resigned and built a studio-home in South San Francisco where taught sculpture and painting. For many years he abandoned art but began again in the 1940s. He died in Santa Clara, CA on Jan. 24, 1968.
