| Hal Steward Wilcox was born in California on March 14, 1892. Wilcox used two aliases for his art works: Piko Siska and Michelle Stuart. He was living in Laurel Canyon (Los Angeles) in 1931-32 and then made a trip to Tahiti and the Cook Islands. His woodblock prints of the South Seas are for what he is best remembered. He died in San Diego, CA on April 13, 1982.
