| Harry "Dick" Richard Snavely was born in Arizona on April 3, 1918. While at South Pasadena Jr High School in 1933, “Dick” Snavely was one of the painters of the mural in the cafeteria. In 1939 he studied with Dan Lutz at USC. He died in Ventura, CA on July 31, 1987.
