This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Rosamond Stricker was born in Grants Pass, OR on Jan. 31, 1910.  Stricker lived in Portland, OR with her parents in 1929-39 except in 1938 when she was in San Francisco.  After her marriage to Edward Day in 1941, she settled in San Rafael, CA and continued to live there until her demise on July 15, 2006.
