Born in Sterling, KS Oct. 21, 1883. Sturgeon studied at AIC and with L. C. Catlin and G. Senseney. She lived in Sterling until 1924 and then settled in Pasadena, CA where she taught at South Pasadena High School until her murder on May 9, 1940. Member: Western AA.
