| Ruth Wheelwright Stalnaker (1912-2004) California Painter Watercolors Impressionist Landscapes
Ruth Wheelwright Stalnaker was born near Boston, Massachusetts on November 12, 1912. She moved to California in the 1950's and eventually settled in the Coronado area of San Diego, California. She was married to Burr Stalnaker
Stalnaker specialized in watercolor landscapes of Southern California. She was one of the Founding Artists of the San Diego Watercolor Society in 1964. She exhibited widely in the San Diego area and throughout Southern California. She also served as a docent at the San Diego Museum of Art.
At the time of her death on April 3, 2004 she was living on Coronado in San Diego, California.
