This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Sakari Suzuki was born in Iwateken, Japan on Oct. 10, 1899.  By 1927 Suzuki was a resident of San Francisco.  He studied at the California School of Fine Arts and was active in the local art scene until 1932.  He then moved to New York City.  He died in Chicago, IL in January 1995. 

Exhibited:  San Francisco Art Ass’n, 1928; G.R.D. Studio (New York City), 1932-33; WPA Federal Gallery (New York City), 1936; American Artists Congress (New York City), 1936; Riverside (NY) Museum, 1947. 

Works held: High Museum (Atlanta); mural, Willard Parker Hospital (New York City).
