| | Born in Stillwater, MN on Oct. 19, 1898. Simonet studied at the University of Minnesota School of Art and in NYC at the NAD and ASL. He appears to have settled in San Francisco in the 1920s and was active there as an employee of the Federal Art Project into the 1940s. (His supervisor on the FAP wrote that "He has a competent academic technique but little creative impulse.") Simonet died in San Diego, CA on Oct. 6, 1948. Exh: Minn.
