Biography from AskART:
| A potter from the Acoma Pueblo in New Mexico, Stella Shutiva, was the
daughter of Jessie Garcia, also a potter from whom Stella learned her
signature work, which was corrugated, polychrome jars, bowls, double
vases, wedding vases, canteens, plates, human figures, white corrugated
owls, and animal figures.
After Stella passed away, in 1997, her husband Ernest Shutiva, gave her tools to their daughter, Jackie Shutiva.
