STELL, THOMAS MATTHEW, JR. (1898-1981). Thomas M. Stell, Jr., painter, teacher, and member of the Dallas Nine group of regionalist artists, was born on November 7, 1898, in Cuero, Texas, one of four children born to Thomas M. and Irene Galle Stell. He showed an interest in drawing at an early age, designing streamlined automobiles with his friend E. M. (Buck) Sch (showing 500 of 7785 characters). |
