Creating illuminated, dramatic California landscapes, W Jason Situ is
fascinated by the special light of his subject matter. He lives
in El Monte, California, and says he has been much influenced by the
French Impressionists.
He was born in Guangdon, in southern
China, and was raised on a farm. During the Cultural Revolution,
when schools closed, he began painting and studied art informally with
friends, including Mian Situ. He also painted en plein air
wit (showing 500 of 3269 characters). |
