| A talented landscape painter, Walter Shulz studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and with his parents Ada and Adolph Shulz. He exhibited at the Milwaukee Art Society Gallery and at the Chicago Art Institute with Ada and Adolph in 1914. He also painted in Wisconsin and briefly in Brown County, Indiana, after his parents had settled there in 1917.
In the spring of 1917, he enlisted in the Army and died from diphtheria in Germany after the armistice was signed. |
