| Wanda Sauer Neumann was born in Texas on April 20, 1873. Wanda first studied with her father, Vincent Sauer. While in New York in the late 1890s she further studied at the Art Students League and continued in Europe. She lived in Brooklyn until moving to Los Angeles shortly after 1900. By 1910 she was the wife of William Neumann (aka Newman).
