| Painter. Born in Fostoria, OH on July 16, 1886. When quite young Squires moved with his parents to Nebraska. He studied at the Des Moines Art School. At that school he became a close friend of cartoonist J. N. Darling who helped unite his interests in journalism and art. For health reasons he moved to Idaho where he worked for a newspaper in Twin Falls. He moved to California in 1923 and settled in Riverside. He then further studied at Otis Art Institute and San Diego Academy. He died in Riverside on Dec. 24, 1938. Member: Riverside AA; Painters & Sculptors of LA; Laguna Beach AA.
