| Willard J. Sauter was a noted artist, teacher, designer and lecturer,
known for his landscapes paintings in oil and watercolor. He was
born in Buffalo, NY, and studied at the Albright Art School with
Mildred C. Green (American, 1874-1951) and Florence Julia Bach
(American, 1887-1978). He furthered his studies at the Buffalo
State Teachers College (graduate) in Buffalo, the Art Institute of
Buffalo and Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY, and the International
