|  Born in Chicago, Illinois on July 10, 1910. Following graduation from the University of Chicago, Singer studied painting at the Art Institute of Chicago and in Paris with Andre L’Hote. He lived and worked in Chicago until 1940. He then moved to Brentwood, CA and was active in the Los Angeles art scene into the 1970s with frequent trips to South America and Paris. He died in Cannes, France in 1981. Exhibited: Art Institute of Chicago, 1932-41; New York World’s Fair, 1939; Golden Gate International Exposition, 1939; Stendahl Gallery (Los Angeles), 1940; California Watercolor Society, 1942-43.
