William Horace Smith was born in Everett, WA on March 7, 1892. Smith worked in Seattle during World War One as a cartoonist. He studied at the California School of Fine Arts, University of San Francisco, and privately with Davis F. Schwartz.
With his wife Ruth, he was active in the San Francisco Bay area from the 1920s until his demise on Sept. 20, 1962. Working in oil and watercolor, he painted scenes of San Francisco and landscapes. As a photographer (showing 500 of 869 characters). |
