Biography from Kamp Gallery, Inc.:
William Swett was born in Worcester, Massachusetts in 1859.  He is considered a landscape and marine painter and was a pupil of James Whistler and H.G Dearth.

Swett, Jr. studied in Munich, Paris, Belgium and Holland.  He has also exhibited at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art, the Art Institute of Chicago and the Salmagundi Club.
