This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Growing up in Brockport, New York, Smith learned to draw at Syracuse University after he dropped out of the physics program and switched to illustration. He describes his style as "cute and bright, but at the same time depressing and violent. It is a little cuddly bunny having it’s skull smashed in by all these thoughts about religion and death, the nature of time, self destruction and loneliness."
The artist lives in Rhode Island, working on his painting and creating comics.
