| | Born in Wisconsin on Nov. 21, 1895. By 1933 Specht had moved to southern California and was making painting forays into the nearby deserts. For 40 years he was an accountant for Southwestern Engineering Company while painting in his leisure. He died in Santa Ana, CA on Aug. 25, 1978. Exh: Businessmen’s Art Inst. (LA), 1954. | Source:
