Artist Biography:
I paint in oil and enjoy subject matter ranging from the wild to the built, including landscapes, cityscapes, people and cars. I most often paint out of doors, “en plein-air.”
I began painting with oil in 2006, while attempting to establish a career performing music. The path I was looking for emerged from this new medium, and in 2009, I began painting full-time.
I was born in 1976, and am native to Marin County, California. I’ve had minimal formal art training, but count artists, teachers and collectors among my family and friends.
I earned a history degree from the University of Virginia and have been influenced by years in France, Alaska, New York and Arizona. Employment highlights include work as a teacher, fisherman, wine-salesman and carpenter.
