Landise had the only one-woman contemporary art show at The Union League Club in New York City, Louvre, Paris 2011 Carousel award and Palm Award in 2008. Landise was invited by the European Committee of Critics to represent the USA at the Biennale Invitational in Florence in December of 2001,03. Her art placed three years in a row at the National Academy of Fine Arts International Art Competition with shows in Paris, Brazil, New York and Vienna. She showed at the Medusa Awards in Rome and In Cordoba invited by the Argentina Office of Cultural Affairs. Also being chosen to Who’s Who in Visual Art in Europe. Landise worked with and studied with world famous designer Vance Jonson, who was an enthusiastic supporter of her art. He was impressed with her abstract impressionistic style of creating hidden images in paintings drawing in the viewer’s imagination.
Her art was also categorized as ancient by the art historian at the Uffizzi Gallery in Florence Italy by Professor Adelberto Magnelli; but she also competes in contemporary art. Landise paints abstract, ancient and contemporary impressionistic art forms. Her abstract work is based on fractals, the fibronacci ratio and the impressionistic art is inspired by her international travel and dreams. www.ieArt.com

Artist's Statement: To understand man you must understand his art. Art is a journey through time that will lead to the understanding of cultures and even humanity itself. We are recording our own history. Our responsibility to art is to define it for the time in which we live. The even larger responsibility is not to allow creativity to be defined by anyone or ourselves. If we define creativity we loose the very essence of the word and as a result we will lose our art. copyright: Susan Landise - February 1, 2005
