Artist Biography:
For over 35 years, Montana artist Jim Dick has been creating original oil paintings of beautiful landscapes. Desiring to capture a 'sense of place' through the interplay of light,value, and color in the subjects, he begins each piece with an on location plein air study.
Jim is best known for his paintings of the Rocky Mountain region, especially the Big Sky area, Yellowstone Park, and Montana rivers and valleys, varying in scope from the panoramic to the intimate. His unique style of realsim is easily recognized by admirers and collectors from around the world.
