Adele Underwood Thomson studied at the Art Institute of Chicago, Sophie Newcomb College with Will Stevens, Eliot O’Hara, Xavier Gonzalez, Reveau Bassett, John Vanderpoel, Adele Brunet and with Ellen Holmes. She began her art career in 1919 and her first recorded exhibition in Texas was in 1931.
She was to settle in Corpus Christi in 1942 where she was to become one of South Texas' most active exhibitors in regional and national exhibitions. She was a leader in the (showing 500 of 1187 characters). |
