After studying with William Merritt Chase as part of his summer school (in 1903 Holland, and 1904, London), she traveled extensively, and was in the far east at the outbreak of World War I.
In 1916 and 1920 she joined William Beebe's expeditions to British Guiana. She spent the summers of 1915 and 1916 in Provincetown, Massachusetts, where she learned the white (showing 500 of 2168 characters). |
