Born in Roanoke, Virginia, Barry Tinsley is a sculptor of large-scale, brightly painted steel sculptures, many of them with what appear to be paper cut- out shapes. He has exhibited his work at the Pier Walk in Chicago and has a piece, "Potawatomi Crossing," in the Art Enterprises, Ltd. sculpture park located in Sawyer, Michigan. This work refers to the Potawatomi tribe that once inhabited the area.
Tinsley was raised in Roanoke, Virginia and frequently accompanied his father, a road mast (showing 500 of 957 characters). |
