| Known for her jewelry making and silversmithing of tea services, Bertha
Thompson graduated from from Stanford University, and studied painting
with Edgar Bissell in St Louis, MO.
She was active on the Monterey Peninsula circa 1920, and spent many
years at Brydcliffe Colony in New York---"the only artisan who has
remained all through the years in Byrdcliffe." (86)
