Artist and illustrator Bill Thomson was born in Waterbury, Connecticut February 28, 1963. At the age of sixteen, he received his first professional commissions, which were editorial cartoons for a local newspaper. Over the next two years, the popularity of Thomson's cartoons convinced him to pursue illustration as a career.
