This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Born in Columbus, OH on March 5, 1881, Tracy studied at the Columbus Art School. He later lived in Tahiti and Mexico before settling in southern California.  During the 1920s he was an actor and poet.

He died in Los Angeles on Sept. 11, 1955.

Exh: Calif. WC Society, 1950-55; Pasadena Art Inst., 1951 (prize); Museum of Contemporary Art (LA), 1998 (solo).
