| Born in Columbus, OH on March 5, 1881, Tracy studied at the Columbus Art School. He later lived in Tahiti and Mexico before settling in southern California. During the 1920s he was an actor and poet.
He died in Los Angeles on Sept. 11, 1955.

| A signature note submitted in June of 2006 by David J. Carlson: I recently found out that the majority of the paintings sold by this artist in the 1920s and 1930s were signed 'CHARLS'.
