 Born in Winnipeg, Canada in 1895, Diana Thorne studied with William Strang. While living in England during World War I, she began experimenting in illustrations and etchings and became a well-recognized canine artist after moving to the U.S. in 1917.
She illustrated and often authored over 40 children's books about dog and animal life. Some of her most famous illustrated books include, Puppy Stories, Chips, Cocker Spaniel, Major and the Kitten, Baby Animals, The Dog Book (1932) and Diana Thorne's Dog-Basket (1930). Source: artoftheprint.com
