| | Born in Chicago, IL on Jan. 1, 1887. By the 1930s Taft had settled in San Diego. She painted with a group who met at the Spanish Village in Balboa Park. During the 1950s she taught at the San Diego Businessmen's Art Club. A spinster, she died in February 1979 in Needham, MA.
