Born July 22, 1891 in New York City, Emil Thulkin was the son of Joanna and Neil Thulin. When very young his family moved to 960 W. Harvard Terrace, Evanston, Illinois, where he spent his entire life. He was an evening student at the Art Institute of Chicago from 1911 to 1914 where he studied under Boutwood, Schroeder and Reynolds. In 1919 he also studied at the Academy Julian in Paris. Thulin exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago from 1920 through 1925. He also exhibited in Minne (showing 500 of 1108 characters). |
