| Painter, muralist. Born in New Jersey on Dec. 30, 1898. Taylor spent several years in NYC where he studied at the School of Fine and Applied Arts, designed and painted theater scenery, and was a dancer with Ruth St Denis and Ted Shawn. About 1925 he settled in San Diego, CA where he produced decorative murals for the Orpheum Theater, New China Cafe, and Aztec Brewery. During the Depression he worked in the visual aids department of the city schools where he met artist Anita Brown. They became pa (showing 500 of 784 characters). |
