| Born in Conawa, OK on Oct. 19, 1905. Taylor moved to California as a child. After graduating from high school in Turlock, he studied art at the CSFA and under Lucien Labaudt. During the 1920s he was a staff artist for the New York Herald and, after returning to San Francisco about 1930, continued in that capacity for the Examiner for many years. During the 1930s he fulfilled commissions for the Federal Art Project and was active with the San Francisco Art Ass'n. In 1949 he and his wife, Fa (showing 500 of 866 characters). |
