| Born in Washington, DC on Sept. 3, 1883. Tompkins began her studies at the CGA and, after moving to Pasadena in the late 1920s, studied with Conrad Buff, Armin Hansen, and Ejnar Hansen. Her married name was Lusk at the time of her demise in Pasadena on May 8, 1963. Her work includes still lifes, landscapes, and European scenes. Member: Calif.
