| | Born in San Francisco, CA on Oct. 11, 1886. Treadwell studied at the Mark Hopkins Art Institute. In 1911 she married Milton Horswill, a mining engineer, and lived in Oakland until her death of influenza on Feb. 26, 1922. She was the sister of artist Thalia Treadwell.
