| | Born in Prague, Czeckoslovakia on April 29, 1892. “Francina” Terebova studied art in Prague and Sweden. After coming to the U.S. as a young woman, she enrolled at the AIC and, upon moving to San Francisco in 1922, continued her studies at the CSFA. In 1927 she moved across the bay to Marin County and singlehandedly built a studio-home in Bolinas. She was active in the San Francisco Bay area until a brain hemorrhage ended her life in Kentfield, CA on April 26, 1949. Her specialty was driftwood sculptures.
