George Campbell Tinning R.C.A. 1910-1996
George Campbell Tinning was a Canadian artist best known for his watercolors. Born in Saskatoon February 25, 1910, he studied in Winnipeg and Regina. In 1938, he studied at the Eliot O'Hara Watercolor School at Goose Rocks, Maine and at the Art Students’ League of New York. He settled in Montreal in 1939. In 1942, Campbell Tinning won the prestigious Jessie Dow Prize awarded by the Art Association of Montreal.
