Biography from Crocker Art Museum Store:
Portrait painter, craftsman. Born in Lauropoli, Italy on Oct. 15, 1882. Troccoli studied at Académie Julian in Paris and in Boston with Denman Ross. Although based in Massachusetts, he had a studio-home in Santa Barbara, CA from 1926 until his death there on Feb. 21, 1940. Member: Copley Society; Boston Society of Arts and Crafts. Exh: AIC, 1913 (silver medal); PPIE, 1915 (gold medal); NAD, 1922 (prize); CPLH, 1928; Santa Barbara Art League, 1929; GGIE, 1939. In: Detroit Inst. of Arts; Boston Museum. AAW; AAA 1905-33; Ben; Fld; PF; NY Times, 2-22-1940 (obit).
