Gordon Lyall Trindall ( b. April 18, 1886 d. - 1965)
He painted mostly portraits, nudes and landscapes.
His parents were Alfred Buckingham Trindall (1841-1911) and Caroline Grout Young (c1847-1919). Gordon was the grandson of a convict.
He married Lillian Struck in Sydney in 1908 and was married a second time to Florence E McDonald in Sydney in 1930.
Trindall submitted a portrait for the Archibald Prize in 1944, a local event in Australia and a very prestigious award to receive. Information provided by Rhonda Robertson. |
