| Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on December 27, 1888. After studying with William M. Chase, Thompson was active in Pasadena from 1915 on. She married Professor J. Muijsken on December 27, 1919 and from then on lived with him in the Netherlands. She died October 9, 1939 in Delft.
