| | Born in San Francisco, CA on Sept. 1, 1908. Tavernetti lived most of her life on the Monterey Peninsula. After graduating from San Jose State Teacher's College, she taught in the public schools of Salinas. Later in life she made trips to Mexico where she obtained much of her subject matter.
